Sunday, March 21, 2010 (Happy Hour 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.)
Tuesday, March 23, 2010 (9:00 p.m. – 4:00 a.m.)

Joshua Stephen Kartes entertains at New York's iconic piano bar and cabaret, The Duplex, in the heart of Greenwich Village. Stop in and hear all your favorite showtunes, pop tunes, classic rock songs, jazz standards, and friendly banter. And all you actors and singers: don't forget your music! You can feel free to take the mic (and the keys, should you rock out like that) for a song or two! Joshua will be playing in the lower level bar all night long, so just stop in when you can and stay as long as you want.

Both Tuesday nights, Joshua will take to the piano at 9:00 p.m. and, with the exception of a few short breaks, will continue to play for seven hours. Come one, come all!

Song of the Earth:  Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day
Friday, April 23, 2010

Joshua has been invited to contribute to this Earth Day extravaganza currently in the making. Also featured will be Joshua's long-time colleague Malcolm Dalglish. The venue for this concert is the beautiful new Strathmore Arts Center in Bethesda, Maryland. This concert just outside our nation's capital, featuring music that praises our natural habitat, should be a powerful and fitting tribute to our annual celebration of Planet Earth.

More details to come as the event develops. Stay tuned.

Bette Midler’s "Do You Wanna Dance" and "Friends" aligns with a post-Stonewall New York (1971-73) of bathhouses and gay-owned discos. The creation of the Gay Pride Flag in 1979-80 and Diana Ross’ "I’m Coming Out!" Twelve icons in all, including Melissa’s own icon, Madonna. Not to be missed!
